GTA 6 Content May Be Held Back For Future DLC, Insider Suggests

It is coming up to a decade since Grand Theft Auto 5 came out, and while the game has sold absolute gangbusters for Rockstar and even continues to sell copies, the gaming world is clamoring for the next entry. Rockstar is aware of this and has devoted its resources to the game's development. Now an insider claims that portions of the title could be cut in order to move up the game's launch. Noted GTA insider Tez2 has suggested that Rockstar is targeting a 2024 launch for GTA 6 and that the studio is considering "cutting portions of the game" to hit this release window (via Dexerto). However, there may be still some time to wait before the game's launch with Tez2 claiming "holiday 2024" as the likeliest schedule. But this could also slip into early 2025, the insider added.
